Tyger Quarterly is a quarterly publication of poetry and occasional interviews. We like poetry, poems, poetics, and, most of all, poets.
Spring 2025 — Special Issue: “The Trans* Issue” Spotlighting Trans Writers, guest edited by Temperance Aghamohammadi and Binx Perino. Submissions are NOW OPEN until March 30th. This issue is set to launch on May 15th. See call for submissions below:
In this time of violence and hatred against trans people, it is our imperative to resist. Trans art is manifold and daring. As such, Tyger Quarterly’s spring 2025 issue will feature ten TRANS* poets, edited and curated by three TRANS* poets.
We want to know – what are TRANS* poets alchemizing and experimenting with in 2025? We want to use this issue to showcase the great diversity in TRANS* poetry, its ferocity, and its charge as a response against the sundry and wicked anti-trans rhetorics of our current age.
We’re looking for everything – formalist verse to lyric poetry to experimental verse to text-image work and beyond. Send us your manifestos, your polemics, your treatises. Send us your love poems, your elegies, your spells. Send us minimalism and send us excess. Send us anything and send it all. Send us 3-5 pieces, no longer than 15 pages. PLEASE WRITE “The Trans* Issue” in the subject header. We receive it in alliance, solidarity, and love.
