                                                        elegant amnesia

One day an Idea gathered amongst a set of people. Right away, the Idea started creating territories. More people began to gather around it. Some contested it. Some revised it. The Idea became land. Land then started producing borders. Those borders started producing guards. And these guards would go on to produce trespass. And trespass would reproduce the loop, returning the Idea to a certain set of people, rinsed of the memory of those who had contested it before.

AFTERPARTY FOR A FUTURE MARRIAGE

Cherry red rhinestones. Dim chrysalis turn ons. Las ciudades del Perú. Tempo sô tiempo. Vermont canoes: the rhythmic differences between thunder and lightning. Lima friction. Stars trembling, birded with loon love calls. ¡Ay, mi vida! Cajun standards. Haitian Kompa. Found the ritmo in Chicago ‘til teenage curfews. My Louisiana Creole night shift. ¡Los Hijos del Sol! New York rent stabilized cumbia. La música criolla. Calisthenic COVID-19 fitness. Laced MDMA meth. Trabajo mecánico: meet you at the train with umbrellas and breath. Side-chained vocals. A cuatro manos: letting orgasms simmer yellow rice with black bean soup. Evil twin, chanting: ¡eso! Cuban cigars for high-school prom. Dance floor metro. Te quiero. South-Side chances into the late-night drill, keep your head away from windows. La chicha. Ride the 6. Eating and dancing inside the ballrooms of Powhatan Apartments. Li chimbo sô rev.

Ahora sé lo que es llorar por dentro. Komen ça va? Dining with millionaires. Oil money billionaire Hampton weddings. Mo linmé twa still. My tears have insides. Drinking liquor in high school from a Pritzker: Veuve Clicquot Vintage.

¿Por qué te amo? Between languages, fava beans or famines.

Si me quieres, dímelo. Seven years of this. Instead, you say, I’m a house-head. Frankie Knuckles, play it back. One more time before Bushwick. I will never date a rich white Latin ever again.
