WRITING IN SUMMER
By “writing”
I mean
boozing
and snoozing
and listening to “Suzanne”
by Leonard Cohen
THE LONGING
to write
“no longer”
The longing
to write
“is stronger
than ever”
ABOVE THE FRAY
How tender the need
to venture
flight
to write
above the fray
How tender the need
to lob
a fresh bouquet
to my friends and legends
of the tower
NOW OR NEVER
I didn’t write
anything
down
and now
shit’s gone
forever
